Charity Ride-out 21st June 2009

Charity bike ride - Sunday 21st June 2009

We are going to ride from Royston to Great Yarmouth and then on to Hunstanton via the coastal road.
Come and join us and celebrate Molly's bravery and to help others to survive Wilms' disease. This ride out is dedicated to raising awareness of Wilms Tumour - a rare childhood cancer - and to raising money to fund research into this disease and one day bring about its eradication.
Full details of the charity and more detailed information on Wilms can be found by clicking on the "Understanding Wilms" button at www.wecanbeatwilms.org - the site is also wholly dedicated to the loving memory of Molly Biederman, who remains a treasured inspiration to her family and to everyone whose life is enriched by having known her.
A few weeks before her fourth birthday, following a biopsy Molly was diagnosed with Wilms' Tumour, a type of kidney cancer that mostly affects children under five. For 14 months Molly bravely endured chemotherapy and extensive surgery. However on Boxing Day 2006 Molly felt ill and was taken to Great Ormond Street. The cancer had spread and sadly Molly died peacefully at 3am on 30th December.
Please join us in a celebration of Molly's bravery and to help others to survive Wilms Meet at Royston Tesco (just off the A505) at 9.30. Suggested donation of £10 per person. Donations to be made direct at www.justgiving.com/wecanbeatwilms
Full details and route will be posted here over the next couple of days, check back and we will look forward to seeing you there.
