Instructor Training

We have been involved in motorcycle training for over 12 years teaching both students and instructors from CBT to Advanced levels.
Motorcycle instruction is a very rewarding occupation; it takes a lot of hard work to become an effective instructor which is paid back many times over by the gratitude received from a satisfied student.
We offer 2 instructor courses; the CBT and Direct Access courses.
  • The CBT course runs for 5 consecutive days and will prepare an individual for their 2 day Cardington assessment.
  • The Direct Access course runs over a 2 day period preparing the Cardington assessed instructor for their ½ day Direct Access assessment.
We have strived to ensure that these courses will fully prepare you not only to complete the Cardington assessments but also to make you effective and intuitive motorcycle instructors.
We keep a close liaison with Cardington and regularly discuss the requirements of these assessments personally so that we are completely up to date with all that is required. As proof of its effectiveness, we have never had an instructor fail the Cardington assessment.
All instructor training is done in groups of no more than 3 thus mimicking the system used during the Cardington assessment. You will work with the same instructor throughout your course.
Your course will be made up of a combination of theory sessions in the classroom, on site and on road practical training sessions.
Prior to attending you will be expected to be familiar with all aspects of the Highway Code.
Secure parking for you motorcycle and overnight accommodation can be arranged in advance of your course.
Leading up to and during your course your instructor is available to discuss any questions you may have regarding your course and its subsequent assessment.
Here is a list of the next fewcourses we that we currently have available. If there is nothing here that suits your diary please contact us as we run these regularly and can often find some flexibility to suit you. Be aware that all courses are sold on a first come first served basis. All courses require a £100 deposit to secure the place.
