Instructor Training - CBT1

Day 1 - Observation day Here you will spend the day observing a 'live' CBT from beginning to end. You will be with your instructor who will walk you through the teaching process informing you of the reasoning of each subject and what the instructor is looking for. There will be a full debrief at the end of the day.

Day 2 - Riding assessment You will be expected to perform a riding assessment for your instructor. We are not looking for an advanced standard of riding merely that you are not riding in a manner that can be contrived to be dangerous or contrary to the standard you are asking from your students. Classroom The rest of the day will be spent in the classroom working through the classroom sections of the CBT syllabus and teaching techniques.

Day 3 - Classroom Continuation of Day 2 to ensure that all the elements are covered.

Day 4 - On site work Here we will work through elements B and C.

Day 5 - On road We spend the day working through on road scenarios and final debrief and paperwork.

The cost of the 5 days and all paperwork is £650 inclusive.

If we feel there are areas where extra work is required we will bring this to your attention throughout the course. Once the 5 days are completed if there are elements we feel that still require work we will itemise these and propose a plan and timescale to address these. The daily rate for this instruction is £175. Once this course is finished we will complete the documentation to apply for your Cardington assessment. We will arrange for a short refresher session prior to your 2 day assessment free of charge to ensure that you are happy with what is required from you.
